Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a pipe mill setting. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining safety standards, and leading a team of production workers to meet our operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and manage the operations to ensure timely completion of production targets.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Oversee the use of power tools and hand tools to ensure they are used safely and effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal functioning.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output levels, quality control measures, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a steel pipe manufacturing environment.
- Experience with pipe finishing operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with assembly line processes, including assembling and fabricating products.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing production schedules and workflows.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
