As a Permit Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the contracts department's daily operations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Experience in permitting, HVAC, electrical, or construction administration (preferred).
- Knowledge of building, HVAC, and electrical codes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and internal teams.
- Permit Applications Prepare and submit HVAC and electrical permit applications for residential projects.
- Compliance & Regulations Stay updated on local and national building codes (e.g., NEC, IRC).
- Permit Tracking Manage permits, track expiration dates, and handle renewals.
- Government Coordination Work with municipalities, building departments, and utility companies for approvals.
- Documentation Maintain organized records of permits, inspections, and approvals.
- Inspections Scheduling Arrange and confirm inspections for compliance approvals.
- Fee & Payment Management Track and document permit payments.
- Project Support Assist project managers, electricians, and HVAC consultants with permit-related needs.
- Client & Contractor Communication Serve as the go-to person for all permit-related inquiries.
- Issue Resolution Troubleshoot permit issues, incorrect filings, and inspection failures.
- Regulatory Updates Stay informed on code changes and train team members on compliance updates.
- $17 - 20 an hour, based on experience
- Paid hourly/weekly
- Monday through Friday
- 7am - 4pm/8am - 5pm
