POSITION SUMMARY:
Serve as primary contact person for the Bank's commercial clients in the designated service area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Objectives Of This Role
- Cross-sell all bank products and coordinate with other departments to do so. Utilize sales training skills to provide outstanding customer service.
- Make calls on prospective and existing loan customers.
- Negotiate loan terms, rates and covenants.
- Take commercial loan applications.
- Analyze loan requests via financial statements, tax returns and other supporting reports.
- Approve loan requests within officer loan limits and lending guidelines.
- Prepare loan presentations for Management and Loan Committee.
- Review Bank documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Decline loans which do not meet bank policy and ensure decline notices are sent.
- Contact past due accounts and negotiate workouts when necessary and possible.
- Attend and participate in Officer Meetings and Commercial / Ag Loan Department meetings.
- Address customer questions, inquiries and problems quickly and efficiently.
- Be actively involved in the community and community organizations to promote the bank within a market area.
- Participate in Educational opportunities when offered.
- Be aware of external lending options such as Business Linked Deposit, SBA, Revolving Loan Programs, etc.
- Comply and satisfactorily pass tests for bank policy and regulatory compliance that apply to position.

- As generally applicable to F&M Bank and commensurate with these job functions, this job role includes accountabilities for following Bank policies and related procedures, as well as regulatory requirements involving federal and state laws, regulations, and related guidance.
- Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including accurate completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) when applicable, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the USA PATRIOT Act. Adhere to Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
