What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Manager position at F&M Bank?
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for processing and maintaining all accounts payable for F&M Bank. Prepares reports and works to ensure bank operations and internal policies are followed.
Essential Functions:
- Receives, reviews, approves, and processes invoices and payment requests
- Prepares payments by check, ACH, wire, or direct withdrawal and deposit
- Take charge of vendor issues and resolve matters in a satisfactory manner.
- Provide requested reports, files, and copies on a specified periodic basis and offer assistance if needed
- Coordinate facilities maintenance (i.e., heat/air, plumbing, cleaning, lights, interior and exterior, outdoor sign, purchase supplies).
- Perform back-up duties for other accounting, treasury, and bookkeeping functions as necessary
- These duties may involve preparing account reconciliations and posting General Ledger entries
Additional Functions:
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements (Education, Experience):
- High School Diploma
- Banking Experience Preferred
- Accounting-related Experience Preferred
- Knowledge and Experience in Excel and BankTel/Ascend AP Preferred

Physical Requirements:
This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

- Periodic lifting (up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
