We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the following opportunity.
Quality Technician
3rd shift
Starting Minimum: $22.85 per hour
Position Summary: Support the QA leads & production to complete the day’s work in a safe, quality-minded and efficient manner and report issues and information to the Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct specified quality audits in support of production and QA systems.
- Document and issue reports on production/supplier quality issues.
- Act as a liaison between Quality and Production
- Provide associates with quality information to complete their daily work.
- Coordinate with supervisor to ensure all quality issues are addressed.
- Monitor that all safety and quality guidelines are followed.
- Coordinate sort / rework efforts with production to ensure suspect material is contained.
- Perform gage calibrations as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Stable work history with excellent attendance record.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and strong computer skills.
- Ability to learn and use a variety of computer software programs.
- Working knowledge on proper use of calipers & micrometers.
- Must be comfortable working in a welding / stamping environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 Quality Management Systems a plus.
- Follows all safety requirements of the company – (including PPE -hat, glasses, steel-toed boots, uniform, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) safe job behaviors, etc.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Plant environment.
- Regularly exposed to dust, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
