What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at F&S PRODUCE WEST LLC?
Description
- Move Raw materials, or stock, to and from storage or production areas utilizing forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery
- Inspects equipment before use and reports malfunctions, repairs needed or concerns.
- Maintain inventory of supplies. Rotate stock as required.
- Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information
- Read work orders to receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or equipment needs.
- Ensures that all equipment is in safe and operating status. Ensures that any issues are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
- Complete paperwork as necessary and in a timely manner.
- Supervise and ensure that warehouse is cleaned on a regular basis including waste disposal as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education.
- Must have experience operating stand up forklift
- Experience using an Inventory Scan gun and Warehouse Inventory System is preferred
