Overview
The Floor Care Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring surfaces in commercial and residential settings. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is skilled in various floor care techniques and equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all floor surfaces are properly cleaned, maintained, and restored to their optimal condition.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of carpets, tile, vinyl, and other floor types.
• Execute carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Conduct buffing, stripping, and waxing of floors to ensure a polished finish.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas by performing custodial tasks as needed.
• Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Ensure compliance with environmental services standards during all cleaning operations.

Skills

• Proficiency in carpet cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Knowledge of floor care methods including buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Experience in custodial or commercial cleaning environments preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
• Familiarity with environmental services practices is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
