Project Manager

Fab-Tech Steel Group is a leading structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator serving the NYC construction industry. With precision CNC equipment and decades of experience, we deliver high-quality steel products on time and to spec. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team and ensure smooth execution from design to delivery.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for organizing project details, ensuring material availability, and overseeing production progress to ensure timely and accurate job completion. This individual will act as a key liaison between the office, shop, and field teams, ensuring seamless project execution from start to finish.

• Receive and organize sketches, drawings, and project details into the company’s filing system.
• Communicate project requirements to the shop manager and ensure production readiness.
• Verify that all required materials are in stock or coordinate procurement if needed.
• Track project progress, checking in periodically to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Confirm completed projects are correctly fabricated, labeled, and prepared for shipment.
• Coordinate logistics for delivery, ensuring all materials reach the job site as required.
• Maintain clear documentation of project details, material usage, and production milestones.

• Experience in steel fabrication, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and sketches.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with fabrication management software is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Speak/type fluent English
