Job Description
The Network and Systems Administrator will provide technical support to our design, consulting, and administrative teams in a hybrid work environment. This role will require occasional visits to our offices in Seattle, Kirkland, Mount Vernon, Whidbey Island, Federal Way, and Spokane, for in-person support and hardware setups/troubleshooting. The Network and Systems Administrator is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure and delivering exceptional support to end-users. The ideal candidate will have strong IT support experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a solid background in network administration. We have an external IT consultant, who we intend to keep in some capacity for support in this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Communicate with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems
- Record data required to analyze problems and track them to final solution
- Fulfill internal material requests and transfers
- Inventory receipt, documentation, and distribution
- Provide problem resolution, reassigning or escalating advanced inquiries to our external IT consultant, when necessary.
- Prepare and present reports related to IT problems and help desk activity for management review and action
- Write custom reports and dashboards for Deltek Vantagepoint project management/accounting software
- Maintain network systems, install new hardware and modifying existing hardware, and related network software and applications
- Collaborate with network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes
- Facilitate the Company’s transition to cloud services
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- 2 years of technical support experience
- Experience with enterprise software for project-based business reporting
- Network maintenance experience
- Experience administrating Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments
- Previous experience as a Network Administrator
- Experience supporting geographically distributed offices
- SQL custom reporting experience preferred
- Vantagepoint reporting experience preferred
- Experience with Egnyte preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical staff
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Proven troubleshooting and management skills for laptops, printers, software, and related technology
