Facilities Resource Group, a partner company, has agreed to join in to help PB Heat in their search for an onsite Assistant Controller. This position is:
- Onsite - Direct-hire - Salaried - Benefits 1st of mo after 30 days
SUMMARY: The Assistant Controller must have demonstrated executive skillset in all areas of company cost accounting. Must have sense of urgency, be an astute communicator and think like a business strategist. The Assistant Controller / HR Executive will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and compliance standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Requires background in financial and credit management in order to promote the Company's growth and stability. Experience highly preferred in areas of shared services, such as strategic planning, cultural design, safety, talent acquisition, retention, performance, development, training, compliance, policy and program design. We strongly desire this candidate to have appreciation for safety, quality and continuous improvement, too. We are looking for a strong contributor!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Lead financial planning process, incl. long-term strategic & budget planning;
- Manage month-and year-end close processes, ensuring timely, accurate reports;
- Collaborate with internal leaders to support financial decisions / resource allocations;
- Prepare cash flow forecast & projections and prepare ad hoc reports as needed;
- Assist in managing operations in AR/AP, budgeting, forecasting, reporting;
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational goals;
- Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders;
- Manage HR initiatives, programs and compliance in areas such as safety, environmental, recruitment, talent development, compensation, benefit programs;
- Create and deploy policies, procedures, SOP's, safety and training programs;
- Work with other departments collaboratively as a positive idea generator;
- Oversee payroll functions and reporting, including benefits and leaves;
- Manage systems for pay, benefits and accounting including Syspro, Paylocity and Oracle Netsuite ERP, as well as MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint), Outlook, Teams

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- MBA, CPA or CMA IDEAL; B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Business or Accounting mandatory;
- Demonstrated history of success in public accounting or as Assistant Controller;
- Proficiency in all areas of accounting - debits, credits, reconciliation, balance sheet, general ledger, payroll, tax, forecasting, financial analysis, budgeting and reporting;
- Excellent grasp of GAAP and accounting compliance practices;
- Exemplary analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed financial analysis;
- Strong understanding of cash management principles and practices;
- Human Resources / people and operations management experience;
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment;
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills required for success;
- Exemplary time management skills and proactive communication;
- Exceptional detail orientation and organizational approach will be critical to success
