Summary:The Content Strategy and Production Lead spearheads FM's global content strategy and production efforts by leading a centralized content operation, driving the strategy for all content and thought leadership initiatives. They oversee the production of engaging video, digital multimedia, social media and written work that elevates FM's marketing strategy and achieves our corporate and operations goals.
This role requires a strong background in journalism (television news, preferred) and corporate content creation with experience managing multiple projects with varying or competing deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a compelling storyteller capable of producing high-quality multimedia content across various platforms, including video, podcasts, infographics, social media and more.
The Content Strategy and Production Lead is responsible for providing the vision, direction and management of the design and production of creative assets for use in marketing campaigns, internal and external communications, training, research and client relationship development.
The Content Strategy and Production Lead manages editors, writers, producers, outside vendors and associated resources. They also serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance, consultation, and governance for company initiatives involving content, digital production, and associated strategy. They are responsible for providing expertise and guidance on identifying relevant insights to share with our target audiences.
Schedule & Location:This is a full-time office-based position. Eligible locations are either Johnston, RI, Boston, MA or Norwood, MA. Three days per week of work are required on-site, with flexibility for some remote work. Travel to Johnston, RI will be required, monthly, for those whose home office is in Boston, MA or Norwood, MA. Additionally, up to 15% domestic and/or international travel required.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a comprehensive, cutting-edge content strategy that aligns with FM's global marketing goals and corporate objectives• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content meets business needs and engages target audiences• Lead the concepting, creation and production of best-in-class multimedia content (videos, podcasts, infographics, immersive web experiences, social media content, white papers, webinars, etc.) ensuring consistency in brand messaging and quality• Oversee the content production process from concept to delivery, managing workflows, budgets and schedules• Coach content contributors, interviewees, spokespeople and team members to ensure best-in-class content creation and that we deliver on objectives• Oversee a team of editors, writers, producers and external vendors, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure professional growth• Monitor and manage workflows, budgets and schedules• Lead the assignment and delegation of tasks as required to agencies, creative team members, graphic designers, photographers, copywriters, production companies and freelance staff, who work together to create and efficiently deliver high quality content for FM• Ensure the team’s adoption, utilization and optimization of project management tools to ensure transparency for management, colleagues and internal partners; timely delivery of campaign elements; and effective deployment of internal and external resources• Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to ensure FM's content remains relevant and innovative• Employ SEO best practices with all content creation
Qualifications
Required Education:• BA/BS degree in journalism, communications or related field
Highly Preferred Education:• Masters degree in journalism
Required Work Experience:• 10 years of relevant work experience• 5 years management experience with vendors/clients • Proven experience in television news, journalism and corporate content creation
Required Skills:• Storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging multimedia content• Experience in concept development, storyboarding, script writing and managing creative processes• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously• Proficiency in content management systems, video production tools and social media platforms• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Copilot) as a job aid• Experience in electronic media producing and creative directing• Experience overseeing a team of creative and technical employees• Strong leadership, problem-solving and team management skills• Ability to build consensus across disciplines• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to deliver high-quality content under short deadlines• Strong editing skills and with a strong attention to detail
The hiring range for this position is $117,280 - $168,600 annually. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
