We are hiring a garden center sales associate to assist in our annual plants department for the 2025 season. We are looking for someone who can work weekends as well as weekdays during our busy season.

Job Title: Seasonal - Garden Center Associate, CSA
Reports To: Store Manager
Position Type: Full Time and Part time, Seasonal
Role and Responsibilities:
Job requires a general knowledge of annual plants and products in our Garden Center. Welcome customers in person and via phone calls and assess their needs, guiding them in the right direction to achieve an exceptional customer care experience. Lend support to other departments as vacancies and seasonal needs arise.
Tasks:
- Welcome guests to Faddegon’s, inquiring what their needs are, and guiding them to a point of satisfaction. Exceed customer expectations with exceptional customer service.
- Re-stocking of merchandise and plant material in the garden center as needed.
- Assist with receiving procedures.
- Assist with cleaning and re-organizing stock areas.
- Answer customer phone calls as needed, but particularly during the growing season.
- Keep up with daily, ongoing cleaning of the garden center and grounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Active listening.
- Broad knowledge of what we sell and where it is located.
- 2 years of experience in retail.
- Active Learner – Seek to be on trend in plant care, customer care.
- Able to lift 30 lbs and able to stand for long periods.
- Team Focused- willing and able to fill in for staff across all depts.
- Positive Communicator– Ability to seek guidance from and relay information to management and department leaders.
- Service Orientation - Actively looking for ways to help both customers and staff.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and changing responsibilities.
- Active Learner- Seek to be on trend in customer service and plant care.

Pay: $16.50 per hour
