Marketing & Community Awareness
Coordinator
Reports to the Executive Director/Program Manager
Job Description:
1. Record any donations received, what and from whom, and write thank you note.
2. Invoice vendors for accounts payable records.
3. Acquire a sincere commitment to the success of the program.
4. Facilitate monthly support group in each county on domestic violence.
5. Facilitate monthly support group in each county on parenting support and education.
6. Connect with businesses, churches, civic groups, etc. to create awareness of project.
7. Work in counties to improve access to services for domestic violence victims and their rights.
8. Maintain accurate records on events and enter into CaseWorthy.
9. Develop and distribute informational material on domestic violence project and services.
10. Plan innovative community education and engagement activities to stimulate involvement in
Wayne, Appling and Jeff Davis communities.
11. Coordinate with other program administrators.
12. Plans press events to promote the program.
13. Manage relationships with project staff and communication personnel from other counties and programs to coordinate efforts.
14. Updates program’s website regularly with events, information and news surrounding the project.
15. Attend local activities in service counties to promote the program.
16. Possess effective communication and public outreach techniques.
17. Public speaking and confidently communicating verbally to a wide variety of audiences.
18. Maintain effective working relationships with city, county and state personnel.
19. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
20. Plan, schedule and organize multiple priorities and a high volume of work.
21. Attend all staff meetings and have a passion about job responsibilities.
22. Create rapport among clients, community and other services.
23. Job may require after-hours and week-end work.
24. No texting while driving shelter or personal vehicle.
Marketing & Event Planning:
1. Supports Fair Haven’s initiatives to advertise & spread awareness of services by implementing marketing and advertising campaigns, marketing and advertising strategies, plans, objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations
2. Connects the organization to the surrounding communities through education, engagement, and outreach. Assist with planning and overseeing the implementation of outreach strategies and coordinates the implementation of awareness and fundraising events throughout the three targeted counties.
Communication:
1. Provide presentations for civic, religious and other community groups.
2. Communicates and interacts with community groups to promote identifications and prevention of family violence.
3. Attends civic & community group meetings, or any other meeting or events deemed necessary.
4. Provide positive communication including developing strategies to engage the local community, meet the community members where they are, and identify the needs of the community.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
