What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/Forklift Operator - Swing Shift - 9:30am-6pm position at Fair M Holdings?
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize materials within a warehouse or production facility
- Safely load and unload trucks and containers using a forklift
- Use a clamp truck attachment to handle and transport materials as needed
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure proper functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as required
- Utilize a warehouse management system to track inventory and locate materials
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure efficient operations
Experience:
- Previous experience operating a forklift or other heavy equipment is required
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of forklift operations is necessary
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and materials efficiently
