The Aftermarket Service Proposal Lead is responsible for coaching and training the Aftermarket Service Proposal Team (estimators and proposal analysts), while being accountable for continuous improvement efforts. Takes ownership of department processes and tools to ensure continuity among quote efforts. The individual should be inquisitive, comfortable working in ambiguity, and be highly adaptable. Works independently; performing a full range of responsibilities within the job function; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure with challenging deadlines.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide advice, support, and guidance to team members to ensure completion of daily activities
- Develop tools and processes to streamline quoting efforts and maximize margin
- Responsible for training new team members and immersing them in department processes
- Oversee the successful execution of project proposals by holding team members accountable for results
- Use competitive intel, historical data, and team member feedback to develop winning sales strategies that meet business objectives and mitigate risk
- Develop comprehensive proposal and present to customer; continue to follow-up with customer until order is secured
- Conduct project turnover meeting with Project Managers and Service Centers to ensure smooth project implementation and successful delivery of services
- Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with key accounts, acting as their primary point of contact for all inquiries, concerns, and escalation
- Collect and present team metrics to leaderships, including recommendations for continued growth
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, technical degree, or equivalent experience preferred
- Five years of inside sales and/or supporting customer account growth experience required, preferably within manufacturing industry
- High degree of written and verbal communication, ability to handle multiple complex assignments simultaneously
- Must have an entrepreneurial aptitude, be professional, customer focused, enthusiastic, and driven for results
- Ability to understand and execute on complex processes
- Excellent technical and analytic aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Service minded and proactive day-to-day with the ability to work independently, and support both internal and external customers and teams
- Experience using CRM and ERP systems required, SalesForce and Oracle desired
- Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proficient with advanced excel (VLOOKUP’s)
- Basic understanding of diesel engines preferred
- Travel up to 10%, domestic (service centers and customer sites)
