About the Role
We are looking for a Project Engineer who is eager to tackle complex challenges in diesel engine and generator set systems, as well as component design and testing. In this critical role, you will manage the project lifecycle from technical proposal to customer commissioning. You will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external customers to drive excellence across multiple engineering disciplines. As the primary technical interface with customers, you will guide projects from initial designs through to system commissioning. Key Responsibilities
· Customer Engagement & Leadership: Act as the technical expert for customers, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and ensuring the successful outcome of projects.
· Engineering Deliverables: Manage and prioritize engineering tasks with precision, ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of product and project documentation.
· Collaboration Across Teams: Partner with engineering, program management, quality, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for product enhancements and cost-saving initiatives, including replacing obsolete components and optimizing system efficiency.
· Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Lead troubleshooting efforts, providing innovative solutions to address engine production challenges, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions.
· Support & Reporting: Generate test reports that ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. Provide ongoing technical support for active projects and future proposals.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering, or an equivalent field.
· Minimum of 3 years of systems engineering experience, preferably with a focus on diesel generator sets, marine diesel engines, or fluid system design.
· Strong understanding of ABS rulesets, USCG ACP, and MIL-SPECs is preferred.
· Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks is preferred).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively document and present complex technical information.
· Willingness to travel (0-10%) to engage with customers and ensure project success.
· Fluency in English required; additional proficiency in French, German, or Danish is a plus.
· Must be eligible to obtain Government Security Clearance. Active Secret clearance is preferred.
This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship. Acceptable proof of U.S. Citizenship is a U.S. Passport, U.S. Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.
