POSITION SUMMARY
The Patient Account Rep acts as a technical resource regarding all aspects of Admissions and financial counseling. The Patient Account Rep is responsible for providing admissions training to all Unit Assistants, House Charges, and Business Office personnel, as well as assisting in developing appropriate policies and procedures and forms for use in the admissions office.
This position is also responsible for verifying benefits and eligibility for potential and actual patient admissions, for completing the actual admission/registration process required for the patient’s admission to the hospital and for preparing the admission financial folder. The position is also responsible for providing patient financial counseling and collecting co-pays/deductibles from patients.
Education: High school graduate, or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in admission processes and collections procedures, and a working knowledge of managed care; interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments and deductible schedules and payment plans; and a working knowledge of computers and business software programs (EXCEL) preferred.

Pay: $24.00 - $33.91 per hour
