This position supports the newly formed Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Urgent Care Team. The team will focus on urgent admissions, buprenorphine induction / stabilization, and follow-up on referrals. The BHN may also have a case load of Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) clients. AMC provides MAT, primarily for those with opioid use disorders who are prescribed buprenorphine. Many of the individuals served have co-occurring disorders.
This position is part of a multi-disciplinary, team-based model including medical and behavioral health staff working closely together to support clients. Shared responsibilities include conducting urine drug screens and breathalyzers, reviewing Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) reports, communicating with the pharmacy, triaging clinic phone calls, and assisting individuals onsite.
This position will have a condensed work week on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (12-hour shifts) with 4 hours of telework during the business week. AMC is based at the Sharon Bulova Center for Community Health (formerly Merrifield Center).
Position may be underfilled as a BHN Clinician / Case Manager in Residence; the underfill requirements are stated below in the Employment Standards section.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree in nursing; plus two years of post-licensure experience as a nurse.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSURES REQUIRED :
CPR / First Aid (Required within 3 months)
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, a driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.
This position is emergency / essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and / or other emergencies.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience working in a SUD environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Primary work location is a general office setting. Ability to access, input, and retrieve computer data related to case management as well as the clients health care. Ability to observe, process, and document clinical information and provide clinical interventions. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, and write as needed. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
