Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining the health and safety of the guest of the pool and enforcement of park policies.
Essential Functions
- Ensure health and safety of guests by pool surveillance and enforcement of park policies;
- Perform rescue and emergency care as needed (both in water and on land);
- Provide immediate first aid treatment to guests in distress as needed;
- Maintain water and rescue skills at a "test ready" level at all times;
- Participate in regularly scheduled mandatory in-service trainings for a minimum of 4 hours per month;
- Provide exceptional customer service;
- General cleaning and maintenance duties to include locker rooms, grounds, and pool;
- Maintain professional attitude and image at all times;
Hours: Vary and will include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Swim 100 yards continuously using a front crawl or breaststroke (goggles permitted);
· Retrieve a 10 pound dive bring from a depth of 14ft without the use of goggles;
· Tread water without the use of hands for a period of one minute;
· Successfully get out of the pool at the pool’s edge without using a ladder, steps or ramp;
· With exception to the 100 yard swim, skills must be performed without the use of goggles
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be 15 years old at the start of the certification course.
· Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Ellis & Associates ILTP program.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
