Qualifications
Required
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate and advanced training in electronics and/or data communications.
- Four (4) years of experience in the field of information technology, electronic, and/or life safety systems maintenance and repair, two (2) years of which shall have been in a leadership role.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.
- Knowledge of a broad array of procedures, practices, tools, test devices, and equipment involved in the operation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and repair of information technology systems and equipment, electronic equipment, telecommunications, and life safety systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain instructions, diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer's manuals.
- Ability to keep records and make reports using desktop administrative software.
- Ability to work at heights and move, transport, and raise objects heavy objects.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- College-level training in electronics and/or data communications.
