SBM Hospitality is currently searching for Front Desk Agents for the Fairfield by Marriott Uncasville Groton Area.
This position is Mid/Second ; 3pm-11pm / 12pm-8pm / 1pm-9pm
Essential Functions of Front Desk Agent:
- Greet and welcome guest upon arrival
- Be friendly, thorough, accurate and efficient in taking reservations, performing check-ins and check outs
- Establish method of payment and verify credit
- Be knowledgeable and helpful about hotel services and the local area
- Follow all applicable company standard operating procedures
- Promote Marriott Bonvoy program and provide recognition and benefits to all current members
- Demonstrate proper selling techniques during the reservations and walk-in process
- Respond to guest requests in a timely manner
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- Have complete knowledge of hotel rooms and public spaces
- Perform other assignments as directed by department manager
Qualifications
- Customer service experience in a hotel setting
- Proficiency in front desk operations and guest services
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment
- Familiarity with resort or hotel management practices
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
- Night audit experience would be beneficial
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
