POSITION: Confidential Secretary II (Office of Curriculum & Instruction)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Collects, organizes and maintains data for EL, gifted services and Reading Improvement & Monitoring Plans (RIMPs) including EMIS/state reporting. Processes, schedules and manages payment of interpreters, and manages translated documents for the district. Assists Curriculum Department in scheduling, website management and other duties as requested by department members.
Building/Department: Administration Building – Office of Curriculum & Instruction
Contract days: 250 days, eight (8) hours per day (includes 13 paid holidays)
Civil Service Status: Excluded
Bargaining Unit Status: Excluded
QUALIFICATIONS:
SALARY & BENEFITS:
$20.99 up to $24.82 per hour, commensurate with related experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Communicates well in verbal and written form.
- Strong analytical ability and desire to work effectively with data
- Highly self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities without constant oversight
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites preferred.
- Ability to exhibit flexibility and prioritize among competing goals.
- Demonstrates organized and confidential work practices to ensure appropriate data and process sharing with staff and families.
- Ability to work with administrators and other district employees to explain programs and processes overseen by this role.
- Experience with mail merge and advanced spreadsheet tools such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas is preferred.
- Stays up-to-date in knowledge and understanding of federal, state and district guidance for EL, gifted services and RIMPs.
- Willing to learn specific, job-related applications (e.g.: TIDE portal, Frontline/Progressbook, ODDEX, Final Forms and Abre)
- .Proficiency in maintaining timely and accurate reporting to the state (EMIS) in student groups managed by this role.
- Be of good character.
