What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm Technician position at Fairfield Fire Protection?
We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing family. We need someone who can maintain themselves, work independently and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, and configure fire alarm systems
- Test and repair systems, including batteries and wiring
- Ensure systems comply with electrical and fire codes
- Explain how systems work to customers
- Respond to emergency service calls
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Complete detailed inspection reports
- Coordinate with clients to ensure systems are installed and working properly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems at least 2 years
- Knowledge of local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations
- State certification in Fire Alarm & Detection Equipment or equivalent
- Driver License and no DUI on driving recorder (Insurance Purposes)
Work environment
- May involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
- May involve handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
