Department: Hotel Operations
Reports To: Regional Vice President
Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation of a Marriott hotel. This includes ensuring that the hotel meets the standards of the Marriott brand, providing excellent customer service, and managing the hotel's financial performance. The General Manager also works with the hotel's staff to create a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and sales and marketing.
- Ensure that the hotel meets the standards of the Marriott brand.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests.
- Manage the hotel's financial performance.
- Work with the hotel's staff to create a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the hotel's performance.
- Represent the hotel to the community and to Marriott International.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hotel or hospitality management or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in hotel management, with at least 5 years in a General Manager role.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
