Pay Rate: $38.02-$60.83 hourly.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the daily operations of the assigned clinical areas/modalities; overseeing performance, productivity and quality of service provided by staff.
- Coordinates interviewing, selection and orientation of new staff.
- Provides coaching, constructive feedback and appropriate actions in a confidential manner to assure staff competency and improve performance as needed.
- Identifies and initiates actions to resolve conflicts, problem situations, and equipment issues, reporting unusual or unresolved situations or issues to the next appropriate level.
- Facilitates cooperation between the imaging department and other hospital staff/departments to assure a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Communicates with regularly with staff, encouraging open and honest communication. Conducts and/or participates in department meetings/huddles on a regular basis to summarize decisions and actions, provide opportunity for feedback, and sharing of ideas and suggestions.
- Knowledgeable of regulatory standards (JCAHO, ODH, OSHA, ACR, etc) and safety-related policies to ensure compliance and maintenance of an appropriate environment for patients, staff and other customers.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of technical area(s) of responsibility, staying abreast of developments, trends, innovations and opportunities to enhance service. Seeks opportunities for continuing education to maintain skills and knowledge to support the services provided.
- Demonstrates a willingness to accept new roles and responsibilities to support change and goals of the organization and department.
- Assists the manager in the development and management of department operational and capital budgets. Recommends and coordinates department purchases of supplies and equipment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Strong educational background in related technical area(s) with a Bachelor degree or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology/Allied Health management.
Licensure/Certification: Maintains technical and professional certifications relating to area(s) of oversight as required by the department and organization.
Experience: Prefer previous supervisory/leadership experience. 5 years minimum technical experience directly related in modalities to be supervised.
Job-related Skills: Ability to analyze and make judgments about situations that arises in daily workflow activities. Ability to think quickly resolving minor issues and concerns of patients, staff and providers. Competent with all hospital-based information systems (EMR/clinical systems, PACS, payroll, etc); MS Office products as needed for communication and data management.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force
frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
Salary : $38 - $61
