Established Virginia Beach Outpatient Mental Health practice seeking a dependable and motivated professional to join our team as a full-time front desk receptionist. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Pleasant personality and disposition.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Outstanding telephone manner.
- Works well with others.
- Is friendly and compassionate with patients.
- Takes initiative to solve problems and complete projects.
- Stable job history
- Front Office and/or medical assistant experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets and orients patients as they arrive for their appointments.
- Answers the phone in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Assists patients as they check out, i.e., scheduling next appointment, accepting payment, etc.
- Reschedules patients.
- Compiles new patient information packages.
- Reviews, copies, and distributes correspondence.
- Maintains proper office opening and closing procedures.
- Verifies in-network insurance benefits
- Assists with medication prior authorizations
