Staff Development, RN
Full-time, Standard 1st Shift hours (8AM to 4:30PM)
Includes On-Call rotation, Occasional evenings/weekends
The Staff Development, RN is primarily responsible for encouraging the personal well-being and professional growth of all employees in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and all department heads; ensures ongoing education and development is implemented and maintained by conducting on-site education and staff improvement training sessions, coordinating on-line trainings, and ensuring compliance regulations are satisfied.
Qualifications
Qualifications and/or Skills Required:
- Previous Supervisor experience, 5-7 years’ experience preferred; RN and/or BSN;
- Long Term care facility experience preferred;
- Infection Preventionist Certificate preferred or willing to obtain;
- Proficient computer skills: PCC, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Government agencies, MDS and Medical charting capability;
- Proven knowledge of government/DOH requirements for Survey compliance;
- Must have the ability and desire to deal with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public;
- Must have the ability to handle difficult situations;
- Ensure a safe environment and culture of caring for residents at the highest level;
- Represent Fairlawn with understanding the organizational goals and needs of the future.
- Ability to present information in small and large groups.
