Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement staff education programs and in-service training
- Coordinate orientation programs for new nursing staff
- Assess training needs and create educational materials
- Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Conduct skills assessments and competency evaluations
- Maintain training records and documentation
- Collaborate with department heads to identify educational needs
- Stay current with healthcare regulations and best practices
- Coordinate with outside educational resources and programs
- Mentor and support nursing staff development
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Participate in infection control and safety programs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license required
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in long-term care/skilled nursing
- Previous experience in staff education or training preferred
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
- Excellent presentation and teaching skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare software
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with adult learning principles
- Knowledge of current healthcare trends and best practices
- Infection Control Certification
