What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Project Lead position at Fairmount Technologies?
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a track record of executing well on projects, proven skills in machine tool building, integration and commissioning. This position will oversee and manage the technical aspects of the project, perform complex design, integration and build, developmental and testing duties on electro/mechanical equipment, test apparatus and subsystems for new and existing products. Engineer will carry out and/or assist in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of these machines.
Requirements:
- Minimum is a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Track record of executing well on project tasks, goals and timelines.
- 10 years' experience designing and building machine tools
- Preferred design experience of machines and complex precision assemblies, heavy load assemblies, and hydraulic and electromechanical assemblies
- Programming machine control systems
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design programs
- Finite Element Analysis
- Must be able to build, assemble, test, troubleshoot and operate a variety of complex mechanical components and associated systems
- Project management experience
Preferred:
- Matlab/Simulink machine simulations, stability analysis, and control algorithm development
