What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Staff Job at Fairplex in Pomona position at Fairplex?
Works within a fast-paced environment to meet the demands of multiple projects simultaneously. Will assist in creating approved attractions including but not limited to : set design, decorating photo props, creating entrances to various attractions, and decorating vignettes. Is responsible for assisting in events, set-up, working in an assigned attraction during Fair, and assisting with additional projects and day to day activities.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Works within the Programming Department in creating unique exhibits and attractions for guests
- Must work with others in creating sets, decorating photo props, and decorating vignettes for all Fairplex Presents events
- Will assist the Programming Department with various competitions including but not limited to : Los Angeles International Competitions, Home Arts, Culinary Kitchen, Livestock, Landscaping
- Assisting with pre-Fair set-up of attractions and exhibits
- Works within assigned project budgets and tracks expenses
- Must provide excellent customer service in attractions and throughout the grounds
- Ensure that the assigned attraction space is neat and clean throughout the day
- Performing other duties as required by the Programming Department
- Other duties as assigned
