Key Responsibilities
- Execute and develop test scripts related to X12 Transmission.
- Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) and testing on EDI applications.
- Provide technical assistance during and post-implementation of healthcare electronic data interchange applications.
- Manage the catalog of varying EDI document types, including 837, 277CA, 834, 835, TA1, 999, 820, NCPDP D.0.
- Facilitate effective communication between Trading Partners and the department.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and process flows for all EDI operations.
- Monitor inbound and outbound X12 transactions.
- Assist the Customer Service team with EDI-related queries.
- Troubleshoot EDI document processing errors and collaborate with trading partners for timely resolutions.
- Analyze EDI transactions and produce necessary documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with EDI partners to address transmission challenges.
- Track daily EDI and batch processes, reporting activity levels using established metrics for senior management review.
- Develop and uphold cross-walking and validation rules for file exchanges.
- Support internal resources in resolving issues and answering questions.
- In-depth expertise in EDI mapping for multiple document types, including 837, 277CA, 834, 835, TA1, 999, 820, NCPDP D.0.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI Transactions.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with both technical and business personnel.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
- Significant practical experience in EDI transactions, particularly with HIPAA X12.
- Proven track record in EDI testing and management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in EDI transactions and testing in a healthcare context.
- Relevant degree or certifications in Information Technology, Health Information Management, or a related field preferred.
