The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale IT projects within healthcare environments, particularly in the realms of document management and EHR integration, while strictly adhering to regulatory and compliance standards. This position reports directly to the EHR PMO Manager and the EHR Program Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the EHR Program Director, EHR PMO Manager, and other project managers to synchronize project activities.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination between NCDHHS, the Office of the State Chief Information Officer, and the Department of Information Technology.
- Oversee the implementation of Hyland OnBase, ensuring integration with Epic EHR modules such as Cadence, Prelude, CareLink, MyChart, and Resolute.
- Analyze and enhance existing clinical and business workflows into standardized electronic workflows.
- Manage data migration from legacy systems to OnBase, ensuring integrity and compliance throughout the process.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in accordance with state IT project management methodologies.
- Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders, including weekly updates on project status and deliverables.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience implementing Hyland OnBase in large healthcare organizations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Epic EHR modules and familiarity with HL7/API interfaces.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, MS SharePoint, and MS Visio is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of project management experience in healthcare IT, emphasizing document management systems and EHR integrations.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-site implementations, particularly in public health systems.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP or OnBase Professional Certification are highly desirable.
