Job Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time 3D Design, Drafting and Engineering Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the Metal Manufacturing Industry, utilizing advanced software to craft detailed designs for intricate projects. This role requires collaboration with colleagues to ensure that designs align with client specifications, emphasizing problem-solving capabilities as challenges arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate project requirements by reviewing proposals, prints, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Create engineering designs, detailed prints, and drawings while accurately measuring to outline layouts and procedures.
• Determine the appropriate methods, materials, and equipment necessary based on project specifications.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager or Foreman on various design and drafting tasks as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in 3D design, drafting, and engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of measurements and machine equipment, along with experience using both electrical and manual tools (saws, grinders, drills, etc.).
• Familiarity with creating Bills of Materials (BOM) and fabrication/welding prints for shop use.
• Excellent comprehension and analytical skills, with a goal-oriented mindset.
• Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to work with fractions and decimals.
• Understanding of safety standards associated with shop and machine operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in 3D design and drafting, specifically within the metal manufacturing sector.
• A solid educational background in Design, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though not explicitly required.
• Professional certifications will be considered advantageous.
• Dependability and the capacity to work overtime when necessary are essential traits for successful candidates.

Compensation And Benefits

• Target salary of $80,000.
