Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program and project sponsors to identify and prioritize initiatives at the divisional level.
- Establish and execute a governance model for the Division of Public Health (DPH) data modernization program.
- Partner with business and IT leaders to formulate and prioritize efforts, developing a modernization roadmap for DPH.
- Assess data requirements and support the development of necessary Dashboard Visualizations for the division.
- Engage stakeholders in crafting plans for delivering business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and data visualizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create Business Cases and conduct Cost Benefit analyses for prioritized initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships and secure various DHHS and state approvals for project initiation.
- Participate in drafting Statements of Work (SOW) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) in conjunction with business and agency teams.
- Track program details, progress, risks, and relevant topics for presentation to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with the State IT Roadmap and security requirements by coordinating with the State DIT.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and advocate for a strategic vision in data management.
- Extensive experience in program management, particularly with large, complex technology business programs.
- Familiarity with modern data architectures, data lakes, and data warehouse structures.
- Proven capability to operate in a technically diverse environment with various products, platforms, and services.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Experience in leading strategic initiatives and managing multiple projects at varying stages of development.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Candidates are encouraged to have PMP/PgMP and Agile (PMI-ACP) certifications.
- Experience in managing complex programs, particularly those involving legacy system replacements, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with public health initiatives is an advantage.
