Key Responsibilities
- Assist the GIS Coordination Program Manager in the execution of various GICC initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to six subcommittees and technical assistance to multiple working groups.
- Develop and evaluate Council policies, strategies, and initiatives in close collaboration with the Program Manager.
- Produce high-quality written documentation including charters, technical reports, updates, and framework dataset schemas.
- Research and implement technical solutions, create and maintain geospatial datasets, and generate online content such as applications and websites.
- Automate data edits using scripting or automation tools and ensure quality checks for published data.
- Maintain effective communication with working group members to document needs and explore viable implementation solutions.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online tools, including Experience Builder, StoryMaps, and Survey123.
- Strong written communication skills to facilitate the creation of technical documents and reports.
- Experience in managing geospatial datasets and applying data management techniques.
- Ability to research and document technical requirements effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of GIS principles and practices.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
