This strategic role involves overseeing the company’s federal and state tax compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tax-related activities. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of all federal pro-forma tax returns in Corptax along with applicable supporting work papers.
- Ensure timely review of all federal forms/attachments for the filing of the company’s federal consolidation.
- E-file the company’s federal consolidated tax return efficiently.
- Review state and locality tax returns prepared by the company and third-party resources.
- Analyze and review quarterly federal and state estimates and extensions.
- Mentor and manage an income tax associate, fostering their professional growth.
- Assist with information document requests related to federal and state income tax audits.
- Investigate and resolve income tax notices promptly.
- Coordinate tax payments on behalf of the tax department.
- Contribute to the quarterly and annual US GAAP income tax provision.
- Review the company's Income Tax account reconciliations quarterly.
- Assess federal book-tax difference calculations.
- Evaluate deferred tax asset/liability work papers and balances.
- Assist in documenting applicable internal tax controls.
- Engage in ad-hoc matters, including cash tax management and corporate project support.
- Drive efficiency and simplification within the tax function through standardized processes and technology utilization.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors on relevant matters.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, analytical, and a collaborative team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and implement effective solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of US federal and state income tax regulations (5-10 years of experience preferred).
- Experience in automating income tax processes is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in a Finance or Accounting-related discipline (preferred).
- MS in Taxation and/or CPA credentials are desirable.
- Consideration will be given to additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

- Target Salary: $130,000 plus bonus potential up to 5% of base pay.
