Key Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee mold changes in alignment with production schedules, including urgent modifications.
- Ensure the correct setup of molds and associated mechanisms, including knockout, hydraulics, and pneumatics for foam molding machinery.
- Adjust parameters of the molding press as dictated by the process verification documentation.
- Address and rectify any fluid or air leaks associated with molds.
- Facilitate the extraction and reinstallation of mold halves for repair purposes.
- Assist in the loading and unloading processes of mold transportation vehicles.
- Manage the installation and removal of auxiliary equipment on the production floor.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of mold-setting supplies and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to quick mold change protocols for efficiency.
- Complete and file all relevant documentation promptly.
- Assist with the initiation of press operations as necessary.
- Conduct maintenance and minor repairs on molds.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in all work environments.
- Promote and participate in all safety initiatives and adhere to good manufacturing practices.
- Minimum of five years of practical, hands-on experience in plastic injection molding.
- Proficient technical aptitude in mold setup and maintenance.
- Familiarity with the IQMS system and foundational PC skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail, particularly regarding safety and quality.
- A minimum of a two-year technical degree is preferred.
- Successful completion of Work Keys Mathematics and Technical aptitude assessments is required.
