Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders, including NC HealthConnex participants and DHHS representatives, to develop and implement quality services aimed at enhancing population health outcomes in North Carolina.
- Maintain project alignment with budgetary and timeline constraints.
- Analyze and document processes, requirements specifications, and create clinical workflows to optimize service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare standards.
- Provide expertise in the management of clinical data and health information exchange protocols.
- Proficient understanding of clinical standardized coding systems such as CPT, LOINC, and ICD-10.
- Knowledgeable in data quality best practices, governance, and security requirements.
- Advanced understanding of health information exchange data standards and formats, particularly in relation to EHR systems.
- Subject matter expertise in clinical data, including EHRs, HL7 v2, and C-CDA messages.
- Demonstrated experience with clinical data ETL techniques, data verification, quality management, and validation processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively engage with non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with clinical standardized coding systems such as CPT, LOINC, and ICD-10.
- At least 6 years of experience in creating and maintaining SQL queries, BI dashboards, and various Microsoft Office documents.
- Proven record of accomplishment in a healthcare or clinical data-related role, demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
