Key Responsibilities
- Identify and document stakeholders, data flows, and both current and future state process flows.
- Gather, document, validate, and uphold business, functional, and technical/non-functional solution requirements essential for market analysis, software procurement, and solution development.
- Translate client business needs into agile themes, features, personas, epics, user stories, and product backlogs or detailed business requirement documents based on the development approach.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, business subject matter experts, and vendors to refine user stories and define acceptance criteria, ensuring stories align with the team-defined definition of ready.
- Work with vendors or internal developers and testers to verify that functionalities meet the defined acceptance criteria.
- Engage in vendor discovery, gap analysis, and detailed requirement development initiatives.
- Assist the Business/Product Owner in the preparation and execution of user acceptance testing, including the creation of test scenarios and cases.
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to facilitate user acceptance testing and production rollout.
- Develop procurement documentation such as Requests for Proposals, Requests for Quotes, and Requests for Information.
- Prepare federal Advanced Planning Documents and updates as necessary to secure federal funding.
- Support vendor proposal assessment efforts and assist in the documentation and consolidation of evaluation outcomes.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct market research on proposed automation projects.
- Aid in options analysis and business case development for automation projects.
- Document meeting agendas and summaries.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions.
- Provide technical writing support, including creating project document templates, proofreading, and authoring various documents and formal communications.
- Assist the project manager in maintaining project artifacts and preparing status reports.
- Support the development of surveys, assessment tools, project methodologies, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain SharePoint sites for each assigned project.
- Execute other analytical and technical writing tasks as assigned.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to document and translate business needs.
- Expertise in agile methodologies and user story development.
- Excellent communication skills for facilitating meetings and documenting requirements.
- Technical writing proficiency to create project documents and formal communications.
- Experience with requirements traceability and user acceptance testing.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and federal documentation requirements.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Writer.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
