We are seeking a skilled C# .NET Developer to join our team in a remote contract position, specifically for candidates residing in North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to engage in critical technical and analytical work, contributing to the development and support of the AASHTOWare Project (AWP) for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solutions for AASHTOWare Project (AWP) to meet NCDOT business requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts and technical staff in an agile environment to deliver functionality for AWP Preconstruction and CRL modules.
- Execute technical tasks in alignment with best practices, including using GIT for source code management.
- Create and manage reports, conduct automated testing, and configure COTS applications based on user specifications.
- Work closely with the NCDIT-Transportation Letting and Compliance Systems (LCS) manager.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, SQL, Python, and PowerShell.
- Experience in web application development, particularly using LAMDA.
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles in software development.
- Ability to translate business user specifications into effective COTS application configurations.
- Familiarity with AASHTOWare project tools and processes is preferred.
- Demonstrated capability to perform a diverse range of programming and analysis tasks independently.
- Previous experience working with state Department of Transportation (DOT) customers.
- Technical expertise in AWP functions and DOT business processes is beneficial.

- Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday (local time).
