Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, and test data windows to replace approximately 200 outdated test result spreadsheet formats previously developed using a third-party tool.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, ensuring the application meets the needs of North Carolina Division of Highways Construction projects.
- Troubleshoot and implement bug fixes, along with functional enhancements to the HiCAMS system and its various interfaces.
- Provide support and design for industry-specific applications requiring integration with statewide systems.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a PowerBuilder developer utilizing PowerBuilder 10 or later versions.
- Proficient SQL skills, preferably with Sybase, although experience with any database platform is acceptable.
- Strong command of Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience working within a remote software development environment.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and technical skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills complemented by a self-motivated work ethic.
- Proven experience in a technical specialty across large and complex system implementations.
- Familiarity with the standard development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, unit and system testing, and quality assurance.
