Key Responsibilities
- Design innovative SharePoint and web-based solutions to support Preconstruction business processes that are integral to NCDOT’s Transportation Life Cycle.
- Translate design requirements into defined and manageable user stories for the Development Team.
- Prioritize and monitor the progress of work items and deliverables.
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of work items and deliverables, accompanied by detailed documentation.
- Document assigned program and project deliverables meticulously.
- Collaborate with clients to implement effective re-engineered business processes.
- Conduct testing on SharePoint and web-based content management deliverables to support re-engineered processes.
- Create and present training materials for revised business processes and IT applications.
- Consult with clients to prototype, refine, and debug applications and processes, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Provide Quality Control for all program and project deliverables.
- Offer mentorship and guidance to Junior Level team members.
- 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Proven ability in designing SharePoint and web-based content solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Quality Assurance testing and methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of AGILE software development methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between business processes and IT applications.
- Outstanding organizational and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience in evaluating and re-engineering business processes.
- Capability to write clear and concise technical training materials and user documentation.
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Business Analyst.
- Demonstrated expertise in Quality Assurance and testing methodologies.
- Self-motivated individual who can operate with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with NCDOT's Preconstruction business process and Transportation Life Cycle is preferred.
- Extensive experience with SharePoint Designer or Owner roles.
- Experience with AGILE development methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps tool suite and prototyping tools like Balsamiq Wireframes.
