Key Responsibilities
- Personalize and develop forms and fields within ServiceNow.
- Create new applications, modules, and tables to enhance functionality.
- Activate plug-ins as needed for optimal system performance.
- Construct detailed reports, gauges, and dashboards to track key metrics.
- Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure service quality.
- Manage Service Catalog requests, including items with variables.
- Oversee the lifecycle of Service Catalog workflows, including approvals and modifications.
- Facilitate the notification process via Business Rules.
- Import data into the ServiceNow instance to maintain up-to-date information.
- Utilize update sets to transition customizations across instances efficiently.
- Curate and enhance the Knowledge Base by creating and customizing content.
- Develop Access Control Rules (ACL) for data security.
- Implement global controls for attachments and cookies.
- Execute custom scripting as required for enhanced features.
- Integrate third-party software solutions into the ServiceNow architecture.
- Provide technical assistance in application configuration and operational queries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Support the rollout of new applications and modules.
- Manage the cyclical upgrades of the ServiceNow system, occurring three times a year.
- Assist in resolving patch and release management challenges.
- Proven expertise in web technologies, including XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and HTTP.
- Solid understanding of enterprise IT architecture and relational database management.
- Practical experience with ITIL v3 methodologies is beneficial.
- Familiarity with programming languages for database manipulation is a plus.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or currently pursuing such a degree) is preferred.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT administration or service management.
- Understanding of web applications, networks, and email protocols (SMTP, POP3) is advantageous.
- Experience with LDAP directories (such as Active Directory) and Single Sign-On technologies (SAML) is beneficial.
