Per Diem Assisted Living LPN Supervisor – Day Shift

Now hiring a Per Diem LPN Supervisor for our Assisted Living/Adult Care Facility!

Essential Job Functions Include:

• Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges under the direction of the site Administrator.
• Welcome residents and provide a brief orientation to their surroundings. Begin initial care plans.
• Use resident assessments to set measurable goals and objectives in care plans that meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of residents.
• Deliver and supervise resident care, based on established care plans.
• May assist with medications and treatments as ordered by the resident’s physician when necessary.
• Supervise Resident Aides, monitoring the care they provide. Act as a role model for non-licensed staff.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assisted Living Administrator.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Supervision and teaching experience preferred.
• Computer skills required.
• CPR certified, or willing to become CPR certified.
• Knowledge of dementia and related disorders is helpful.
• Must demonstrate skills in scheduling, organizing, leadership, quality improvement, and delegation.
• Must be able to respond flexibly to area needs.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply).
• Must work independently, show flexibility and personal integrity, and collaborate effectively with residents, staff, visitors, and agencies under all conditions.
