This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00-3:30 or 7:30-4:00. This position is on-site, located at the Midway Campus location in St. Paul.
This position is responsible for HIM operational functions supporting the completeness, integrity, and privacy of billing documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities focus on scanning and indexing of faxed and paper documents into the business and health record. Timely and accurate processing of all work is essential.

Responsibilities Job Description
Job Expectations:
- Preps/scans patient billing documents daily into the electronic medical record for inclusion into the business record verifying presence of patient data and quality of the document for scanning.
- Reviews and indexes documents daily to the appropriate hospital account number, invoice number, or scan queue with the correct document type and appropriate description according to protocol.
- Works various work queues and perform various tasks as needed
- Understands and adheres to Revenue Cycle’s Escalation Policy.
- Contributes to the process of or enablement of collecting expected payment by ensuring health records are available in a timely manner and contains the required elements for downstream Revenue Cycle workflows and to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Required Experience:
- One year in Health Information Management, medical office, or comparable work experience or education.
- 10-key speed of 30 KPM
Preferred Education
- HIM Coursework
- Completion of computer training in Microsoft applications
- Billing terminology
Preferred Experience
- Two years in billing office, medical office, or comparable work experience or education.
