Radiologic Technologist - Outpatient Specialty Center

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to join our medical imaging department at our M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center location in Maple Grove, MN!

The successful candidate will complete diagnostic imaging examinations, perform surgical and procedural work, and ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis and treatment in a fast-paced academic specialty center. This position is an excellent oportunity to perform a range of services found in a full-service facility with the convenience of an outpatient setting. The X-ray Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

Schedule: This position will be working 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks).

Maintains patient care

Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional

Verify patient identification and documentation

Connect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam

Achieves quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol

Ensures patient data integrity

Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner

Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving

Participates as an active team member

Orients and mentors new employees and students

Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives

Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position

Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies

Provides coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.

Contributes to a positive work environment

Performs other duties as assigned

Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines

Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly.

Maintains a high level of proficiency

Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility

Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations

Required

Current ARRT Registration 

BLS - must be current before date of hire and from American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Preferred

Associate Degree from accredited school 

1-year experience as a technologist
