The Fairview Park City Schools has an opening for a Head Custodian at the Early Education Center. This position is eight (8) hours per day, 40 hours per week (6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. includes a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch), 260 days per year. Some weekend district event coverage may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
Ohio Boiler License or attainment of one required
Evidence of good mechanical aptitude including: plumbing, electrical, and machine repairs
Previous custodial/maintenance experience preferred
Friendly and polite demeanor
Ability to work well with staff and students
Evidence of exceptional attendance and work record
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Possesses modern technology skills
Ability to work at a fast pace when required
Evidence of good health and hygiene
Be of good physical stature and able to lift 50 pounds and do bending
Capable of operating floor equipment for extended time
Have a valid Ohio Driver License

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform general cleaning
General repairs on equipment and in buildings
Provide leadership and direction to sweeper/cleaner staff
Mix and use cleaning materials properly and according to directions
Work safely so as not to expose self or others to unsafe conditions
Use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner
Provide set up and tear down for meetings and programs
Open and close facilities as required
Respond to staff and resident requests in a timely manner
Conduct summer cleaning/renovation in the building
Order building and maintenance supplies
Complete snow removal including hand and machine operation

SALARY:
Pay scale starts at $24.87 per hour (proper placement per the negotiated agreement)
