Fairview Range is hiring a Patient Care Facilitator for our Surgical team in Hibbing, MN.
Fairview Range is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our OR team in Hibbing, MN as a Patient Care Facilitator (PCF). With over 55 physicians, Fairview Range Medical Center has the largest surgical staff on the Iron Range with a variety of surgical services offered in areas such as ENT, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and General Surgery. We are a Level IV trauma center, and perform emergency, inpatient, and outpatient surgeries and procedures.
The PCF provides direct care to patient’s staff as well indirect care and oversees unit operations for shifts. The PCF functions in collaboration with the director & manager to assure services are provided in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner that enhance patient safety, quality, and patient/employee/physician satisfaction, and performs other duties as assigned.
About this unit:
- 4 operating rooms
- 17 Same Day Surgery cubicles
- 6 recovery room cubicles
- Average of more than 3000 surgical procedures per year
- Multidisciplinary care team including Physicians, APPs, CRNAs, RNs, Surgical Techs, Instrument Tech/Unit Assistants
- Patient population: pediatric to geriatric
Schedule: This position will work 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day shift. This position does include rotating weekday and weekend call.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
As a Patient Care Facilitator, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as a clinical/technical role model.
- Resourcing for staff and providers as it relates to problem solving, ethics, organ/tissue donation, equipment/supplies, and policies/procedures.
- Leading daily huddles and creates daily assignments. Assures lunch and breaks are covered.
- Providing ongoing positive and constructive feedback and coaching for employees.
- Providing positive surgeon/provider relationships.
- Promoting cooperative working relationships with peers, superiors and subordinates.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of AORN, Joint Commission, MHA, CMS standards.
- Performing or directs others in completion of quality review, regulatory observations, chart audits and maintains infection control practices in the unit.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as an OR RN.
- Current License as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
- ACLS, BLS, BCS
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently holds a position as a Registered Nurse in an OR.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Certification in nursing specialty.
- 1 year of prior charge or leadership experience.
