What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Office Manager position at Fairview Senior Living?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Office Manager to oversee the administrative activities of our senior living community. This full-time position operates from 9am-5pm. Reporting directly to the Administrator, you will ensure that proper administrative procedures are maintained in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in an administrative supervisory role in a healthcare setting.
Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles .
Experience in collections and healthcare billing in skilled nursing or long-term care.
Experience with Medicaid billing .
Experience with Medicare A, Medicare B, and Insurance billing .
Experience with MDS coding .
Working understanding of New Hampshire Medicaid eligibility rules .
Knowledge of New Hampshire Medicaid , including Case Mix Index scoring .
Strong decision-making skills.
Ability to read, write, speak , and understand the English language.
Proficiency with office equipment, including computers, data entry, and word processing.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies.
Must be able to work independently .
Job Responsibilities:
Administrative Functions: Oversee business office operations, including policies, procedures, and coordination with other departments.
Accounting Functions: Plan, organize, and direct accounting functions, including financial records, monthly statements, and invoice management.
Personnel Functions: Assist with office staffing needs, employee performance evaluations, and training of administrative personnel.
Staff Development: Attend workshops and seminars to stay updated on long-term care regulations and maintain professional status.
