We are seeking a very knowledgeable Loan Officer Assistant or Processor that has been in the mortgage industry 3-5 years minimum and has a solid working understanding of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA lending guidelines. Knowledge of Texas bond programs is a plus. We work hard and are a family. Essential Job Functions:
- Works with Loan Officer to confirm product suitability; communicates changes to Loan Officer
- Compiles financial and other needed data to complete loan file
- Evaluates loan applications for reasonableness and, if needed, escalates files for further evaluation
- Communicates with Loan Officer and borrower to obtain missing documentation
- Obtains documentation needed to clear conditions, if needed
- Prioritizes workflow so loans close on time
- Communicates with title company, appraiser, and other vendors as required
- Provides excellent customer service to borrowers, loan officers, vendors, and other interested parties

The Loan Officer Assistant/Transaction Coordinator position supports one of the top loan officers in the country by helping to prequalify borrowers, ensuring loan files are complete, and loans close as scheduled. The Loan Officer Assistant/Transaction Coordinator may also support the marketing activities of the loan officers and provide administrative support as needed.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Solid knowledge and understanding of conventional and government (FHA/VA/USDA) loan requirements
- Solid knowledge and understanding of state and federal real estate lending regulations
- Solid knowledge and understanding of loan origination software systems (Encompass is a plus)
- Solid knowledge and understanding of desktop underwriting (AUS) programs preferred
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalency degree
- 3-5 years of experience as a Loan Processor, Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Officer, or Transaction Coordinator
- Demonstrated experience in or knowledge of the Mortgage industry
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data
- Demonstrated experience using available information to make sound business decisions
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office software products including 10 key
